2003 Subaru Baja AWD Review
by llrowley

Hard to beat the utility. Big enough to haul, small enough to avoid everyone elses hauling

This is the 4th Subaru vehicle I have owned and I love their dependability and the AWD feature. My 1st one was a GL 10 5 speed turbo and you could engage the 4WD on the fly. The Baja has been on my most desired list since 1989.

Avg. Dealer Rating: (25 reviews) "I called on a Saturday to confirm availability of a car. The first three or four times after I was transferred to sales, no one answered. I eventually got through and was told they still had it in on the lot and to stop on over. When I arrived, the sales rep that greeted us sat us down and he proceeded to finish up with the people he was already assisting. 15 mins later he comes back and takes us out to the car with the caveat that they just took it on trade and that they hadn't cleaned it , inspected it, or done anything to it yet. This is where I should've turned and left. We went to look at the car and he was right. There was trash and empty fast food bags all over the floor, the seats were stained and dirty as well. The bumper cover was unhinged and the AC didn't work. We got in to test drive but I changed my mind. lt isnt the salesmans fault, but it reflects poorly on leadership at that dealer that they'd even fathom showing a car in as bad a shape as that one was. I wouldn't buy"
