2001 Toyota Celica GT Review
by Justin

Toyota Celica GT

I absolutely love my celica. It is the best car I have ever owned. The only thing I would improve, is that I bought the GT-S six speed model. The GT is a great car, but doesn't give the performance I am looking for.

Avg. Dealer Rating: (8 reviews) "I left several messages until a few days later, I called again and got someone named Omar, he said he was driving and had a screaming baby in his car. I asked why no one answers. He replied he had his telephone calls re-directed to his cell phone. I told him I had some questions regarding the van in question; he (between baby screams) told me the van had only one owner. This turned out to be false - the van has had 5 previous owners and he bought it at a public auction. There is visible body damage to the left front wheel (driver's side) he said he never noticed. Ford Co. recalled these vehicles due to a faulty Speed Control Deactivation Switch. The SCDS may leak internally and then overheat, smoke or burn. DMV and Carfax report "a vehicle fire could occur with or without the engine running. YouTube is full of videos of vehicles burning up unexpectedly due to the faulty switch. Mr. Omar said he did not know anything about this. I told him I would see if my mechanic has a contact in this area who can come and check out the van. I got the impression Mr. Omar is not motivated to sell this vehicle. Also, I don't know if the odometer reading is correct since some models have only a 5 digit space. but I didn't bother to ask Mr. Omar."
