2018 Kia Cadenza

The Kia Cadenza received a mild refresh for 2017, so this year’s model is mostly a carryover. The only change to the lineup is the addition of a panoramic sunroof and interior LED lighting to the V6 Luxury Package. Offered in three trim levels, the Cadenza is a more premium vehicle from Kia, which is generally considered an economy brand.
The base Cadenza Premium starts at $32,290 and includes a 3.3-liter V6 engine - the only engine choice across the Cadenza lineup. This provides 290 horsepower with 253 pound-feet of torque and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It achieves an EPA-estimated fuel-economy of 20 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined.
Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED positioning lights, front fog lights, power-adjustable heated outside mirrors, and an acoustic windshield. Inside, the Cadenza features a manual tilt and telescopic steering column, wood grain style trim, a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar, an 8-way power adjustable passenger seat, leather seating surfaces, and heated front seats.
The Cadenza Technology starts from $39,290 and adds steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED bi-function headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a panoramic sunroof. Inside, the Technology offers a power tilt and telescopic steering column, 14-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way lumbar and memory, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Infotainment upgrades include a larger 8-inch touchscreen, a Harman Kardon 12-speaker audio system, and wireless charging.
Sitting at the top of the lineup is the Limited at $44,690, which includes chrome exterior accents, black pearl wood grain trims, side rear window sunshades, a power rear sunshade, Nappa quilted leather seating, heated rear outboard seats, and a power trunk. It is also the only trim that includes surround view monitor and a head up display.
Safety features available across the model range include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, and hill start assist. Optional on the Premium and standard on Technology and Limited trims are blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist, and rear parking assist. Standard on all but the Premium are high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking, advanced smart cruise control, lane departure warning,, and forward collision warning.
