can a cylinder pump on a vue 2003 rear door be fixed?

The door falls down in the winter. It stays up when it is warm.

They can't be fixed, but you can replace them. Always in pairs. All you need is a small screwdriver and a helper to hold up the hatch to replace. They are called Lift Support Cylinders. $20 a piece at most auto parts stores.

or just get a pair of vice grips and leave them in the back- grab the rod right under the shock- you will hit your head when you unclamp it tho- OK, Tom is right, just go get new ones-
