2003 Saturn Ion Blower Motor Resistor

Asked by Aug 01, 2015 at 04:55 PM about the 2003 Saturn ION 2

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In June I had a new Blower Motor Resistor installed.  Because the air flow was not
coming in the car on 1, 2, 3 but was at full force on 4.  Well as of last week, I am now
experiencing the same problem.  Is it just due to a faulty part or does the blower motor
need replacing as well, any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Could very well be the resistor block again. It'll be under the passenger's side of the dash and have a 5 wire plug attached to it. Try moving the plug. If the blower comes on unplug the plug and inspect it for burning. If it's burned replace it. For some reason these plugs are prone to burning. HTH. -Jim
