What does the "HEAT" light on the dashboard of a 1995 mustang indicate??

Asked by May 06, 2015 at 06:16 AM about the 1995 Ford Mustang Coupe

Question type: General

The HEAT light comes on but nothing seems to indicate that my engine is overheating. The symbol underneath the HEAT looks like an exhaust muffler.

Exhaust system overheat, could mean a restriction in the exhaust, a catalyst starting to fail, air pump diverter not operating properly, I would get the Trouble codes checked, there could be a memory code in there that could aid in tracking this problem down.

how long since that catalytic converter has been replaced? never, you say?
