I was draining my transmission fluid and instead of fluid really thick green sludgy or slimy goo came out. Any idea on what this is or how bad it is? And/or how to get it out?
Im not one to power flush a transmission but in the case I think you need to have this performed...
What does your coolant look like? Maybe the they are mixing?
Sounds like the transmission cooler in the radiator has sprung a leak. HTH. -Jim
Sure did the cooler in the radiator to transmission split need new radiator
Does sound like the radiator sprung a leak. You will have to change the radiator first, then flush the transmission. Best performed by a shop that can force in hot new fluid and has a glass collection receptacle where the color of the exiting fluid can be seen. Keep flushing until red only comes out.
