As G A said you can and premium is more expensive. But I run premium in all my vehicles except my beater truck. I always have. Premium burns hotter, cleaner, and faster than regular grade gasoline. I've never had a fuel system problem that I didn't "inherit" from someone else when I bought a used vehicle. My 93 Caprice, which I bought new and had for 19 years never had a fuel system problem. I never had to replace any of the sensors on the vehicle either. When I had the 90,000 mile tune up done the technician asked me what kind of gas I used. I told him premium. He said he knew I used "good gas" because the original factory copper core spark plugs were still in the engine and could go another 30,000 miles. It does make a difference, in my opinion. Others have their opinions and ultimately the choice is yours. But my experience using premium has been a good one. Hope that helps! Jim
