2002 Boxter dash lights - oil etc come on when i push the top of the dash - then when i turn on the ignition some lights dont come on at all

Not sure if I should continue to drive it - has been running well but am worried about the warning lights. The spoiler also raises if I hold a cloth down at a certain point on the dash...help would be appreciated..
