recently purchased a 2002 carrera. Does it have a manual control for the retractable spoiler? If where would the switch be?

Yes it's in the driver side footwell. - only use that switch when not driving - it overrides the automatic action so using the switch while car is moving May short out the auto action which you DONT want ;-).

It's mounted on the fuse holder box by the drivers left knee (in a LHD model)

The switch is mounted low and forward of the drivers door, about where your mid-calf would be with your foot on the floor.
