The engine in my 04 Boxster blew - it has 48000 miles on it - thought I kept it in good repair - realistically what can I get for the car as is - no damage to the car

Trying to find out what I can realistically get for all the parts of the 04 Boxster -
engine blew (timing issue blew a hole in the side of the engine - thinking to not
repair the car but just sell for parts as is

Since it is a Porsche you should get more than your typical car with a blown engine. If you take the value of a running car and subtract the cost of a new engine it will give you some idea but I bet you could get several thousand for the parts if you part it out. Less if you just sell the car whole.

Sadly not really cost effective to repair. I have watched a 42,000 mile car sit on Craigslist for month after month with a blown engine. They are asking $5k. Problem is, you can buy a running one for $7k and there is no way you can get this running for only a couple of thousand. If I was you, offer it on a track day forum or ebay, you may get $3k
