Porsche 911/977 rear tires

Asked by Nathan May 30, 2017 at 03:48 PM about the 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I want to go up to 275/40ZR18 vs 265/40XR18. Is
this an issue? Thanks

Could be. If you've got plenty of fender lip clearance, should be no problem, as your new width is only about 3/16" wider on each side. Be sure, I ruined a new tire in the rear when taking a hard right turn. A costly mistake.
