1995 Ford Bronco ECM replacement (need help)
I have a 1995 Ford Bronco, I have 2 ECMs I can chose from
but I don't want to fry something else in my truck. Both
ECMs fit the description for a 1995 Ford Bronco, automatic
transmission, with a 5.0. One ecm is $90 the other is $180
and auto zone doesn't know the difference. I no that the 95
bronco has 2 types OB-I and OB-II. I think that's the
difference on my truck. I have the part number for the both.
F4TF-12A650-AAA the other is F5TF-JB
You are correct, 1995 can be either OBD I or OBD II. What's important is that the service numbers on the original ECM and the replacement ECM match exactly. There should be a sticker on the outside of the units with the service numbers. HTH. -Jim
Thank you Js8016 for replying, that sticker is worn off I still have no luck in getting the correct ecu. if I order one I need to vin and the OEM number, I don't have the oem. I found a website that I can order one with just the vin and its a plug and play. currently not sure what todo at this point.
look in your upper drivers side door jam there should be a sticker with a mix of numbers and letters i think mine is 4 characters long ( K1D1 ) fits my 1994 bronco
