1994 Trans Am will start but not stay running

Asked by onedge Apr 26, 2010 at 08:05 PM about the 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 94 Trans Am LT1 AT that will start but not stay running, acts like its out of gas but has gas and I can hear the fuel pump working. Bought as a repo and I don't have the original key. Wondering if it has to do with the VATS. Security light is also staying on. Any help would be appreciated
