My 1994 firebird formula tries to run hot but only when idle

Ok, only at idle? Things to check, coolant level low, faulty thermostat, or radiator cap. Radiator fan not coming on, water pump impeller corroded or broken, or a failed head gasket.

I have had the same problem with my 93 trans am and replacing the thermostat fixed it.
