the car drove great i parked it over night. this morning it tries to start but dont.

this has a lt1 motor . it drove great last night  but this morning it just turned over and tries to start. i was told of posibilities like the distributor. or fuelpump went out.  the fuel pump does humm when turning the key on any information on this problem will be appreaced    thanks terry

Hello stealhorsemustang-- No matter what people tell me about distributos and fuel pumps, etc., the most likely source of your trouble is the battery. Often there is enough power left in it to turn over, but not enough to start the engine. Get a jump start and see if the car starts then. If it does, the battery is your problem.
