If I put a new ingition in my Pontiac sunfire do I need to buy a new bypass sensor

I broke the ingition to my 1997 Pontiac sunfire
because I lost the keys and could not find the got
it to start with a screwdriver but the security
system kills it so I'm buying a new ingition do I
need to buy a new bypass sensor with it?

I would if i were you...


You'll have to get the new transponder keys programmed to the car at your local GM dealer. Gone are the days of starting vehicles with a screwdriver! HTH. -Jim
