How to replace the whole ignition switch on my 1997 Pontiac Sunfire

My husband had the wrong key & tried to jam it in the ignition & messed it up,now the key for the key won't go in,he messed up the key slot. We have no pics of it.

Replacing the key cylinder is not super easy. You will need a steering wheel puller. It may be quicker and easier to call a mobile locksmith who can probably change it less than an hour. Here is a YouTube video on how to replace it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSQPDe5jeUY
