What is the hose from blower motor to fire wall
for/do?

I'm assuming that you're referring to the heater core line, coolant goes through it so you can heat the car.

No, I am talking about a hose about 4 to5" long. It has nothing in it. It almost seems like a air way to cool the blower motor.

Is this the line under the dashboard to the firewall?? If so, it is a vent to cool the blower motor.

That is what I thinking. On the older years the blower motor is mounted on the outside of fire wall under hood. THANKS
