REPLACED my starter and now when I start the car the starter wont disengage even after turning the ignition off and removing the key

Replaced starter and now it won't disengage when
I shut the car off and remove the key. I have to
disconnect the battery for it to stop

Double check the wiring at the starter. Sounds like a wire is touching something it's not supposed to. HTH. -Jim
