1995 Aeostar Van Airbag light flashing

-had thermal fuse replaced $900. Light still on code is 34. Now they tell me the I need a new airbag $1,000. Help do I? never an accident. Can we just continue driving it?

Code 34 (triple flash, pause, four flashes) means the driver side airbag has a shorted circuit or one with low resistance. You can continue to drive it. Your air bags won't work if you have an accident. It would be just like every car was before air bags were installed.

Try changing the clockspring behind the steering wheel that allows all the steering wheel electronics to work and they can go bad slowly. Eventually nothing will work on the steering wheel if it is this.
