my 1998 bonneville will not turn over it will cycle, it has fuel and spark but wont ignite
I have changed the water pump, the front spark plugs, the coil pack, the
heater hose bypass, made sure there is no water in the oil, the belt the
Radiator, the spark plug wires. It needs a lower intake gasket, the car has sat
for about 5 months and now she wont start.
wont turn over but will cycle...what do you mean ...cycle?
tries to start but wont ignite
Spray some starting fluid down the throttle body. It should run a few seconds on the starting fluid. If so, it's a fuel problem. Fuel injectors not spraying, for example. If it won't run on the starting fluid and you're sure that you have spark, time to do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero, it's jumped timing. HTH. -Jim
