What is it when you put your car in reverse and it doesn't go back or respond to the reverse

Check the transmission fluid its probably low or empty. Or maybe your transmission is fried meaning its slipping. Hope it just needs fluid good luck


2000 Bonneville has a computer controlled transmission, do you have a check engine light on? Could be a solenoid inside the trans.
