I have a 2000 pontiac bonneville and it needs a new fuel
sending unit would it be easier to just replace the sending
unit or the whole fuel pump

The sending unit is part of the fuel pump assembly. So, replace the whole thing. Hope that helps! Jim

Replace the whole thing along with the fuel pump relay and fuel filter.
