01 bonneville bad cv axle?????

Hello im here because I am extremely confused
what happened is I was going around a hard
bend and my car started to grind really badly so I
pulled over and it didn't even want to go into park
it finally did with a whole lot of grinding
accompanying it ok so when that I happened I
thought it was the transmission but I got towed
back to my house and now it's perfectly fine
shifts great no grind nothing please help
because I am stumped

EDIT this also was not the first time this apparently happened my mother was driving it and she also took a very hard turn and it did the same thing but she was able to turn the car off and back on and it was fine

Nah I don't think it's a wheel bearing as that wouldn't stop the car from going into park
