How do I reconnect the rear wipers?

Asked by Tim Jun 10, 2021 at 02:16 PM about the 2021 Ford Explorer XLT AWD

Question type: Car Customization

With a bike rack on my Ford Explorer, the park sensor screams every time I
back up. Disconnecting the sensor also disables the rear window wipers. I'd like
to find a plug diagram to see which wires are the wiper wires and reconnect just
those. Where can I find such a diagram?

The diagram is for 2019 ford explorer rear wiper motor. That's as close as I could get to your model year. Don't know if the same? In the diagram, the white wire with red tracer is voltage. The bottom black wire is ground. That arrow with the E, goes to front wiper, not sure why? You could try voltage and ground to see if rear wiper works? good luck

So, no red tracer wire in the connector. I tried jumping each of the wires in the connector with no luck. Seems like it needs two or more connected to get them to work and with about 10 wires, that's a lot of combinations. I'll keep looking for the wire diagram for the connector, it must be around somewhere. But thanks for the try.

Dealer won't touch it or provide any info if any part of the system is to be disabled claiming it is a safety issue and they would be liable.

I would consider a roof top bike carrier. Don't ya love these electronic nannies?
