2002 Sunfire, no electricity (at all), new battery

Asked by Arthur Jun 04, 2013 at 02:20 AM about the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ran car down the street for errands, came back home because I forgot something. Shut
car off, and when I came back to it and tried to turn it over it cranked once then all
power in entire car died. Heard a soft whine then soft click that repeated three to five
times coming from column Colombian nothing. No sound with key turn, no buzz, no
power to anything. It's a brand new battery and connections are in great shape. I'm
usually pretty good with these minor things but this one baffles me. Any suggestions?
