Window motor clips broke.
Widow got stuck in down position, When trying to remove (and replace after raising the
window) the motor the stupid plastic clips broke. How can I fix this? It looks like there is
one large plastic panel in the door of which they were part. 2 of the 3 broke. :(
orillies and advance auto parts stores sell replacement type clips to glue to the glass and pin to the regulators of some cars if its that type .
These are the clips that hold the window motor on. The are (or were) part of this large plastic panel on the inside of the door.
Perrysburgguy did you ever find a solution to fix it. My drivers side motor clips have snapped off and I'm not finding any way to fix it any help would be greatly appreciated, at this point I'm contemplating zip tying it into place, maybe that will work
I've got the same problem. No one that I can find seems to sell the part that holds the window motor in place, because it all seems to be that one big plastic piece. I'm looking at junk yards for an old door that isn't damaged to remove the parts inside of it and put in mine. So far Doors are around $250. Not a great solution, but it's a solution. Zip ties may work, but I must not have put them on correctly, because they weren't strong enough to hold the motor in place inside of my door.
I'm wondering if you can just drill out the posts that the motor positions on and replace with pop rivets or machine screws.
