Why would the Check Engine Soon light come on?

Had oil and filter changed then Check Engine light came on. Took it back to them, said it's an oxegin sensor. reset it. Then took it to have brakes line fixed, they said it had to do with computer. Why is it on? What do I need to check?

Nothing you can check, the car has to be scanned to get the codes. Only then can we help you. Did the mechanic list the 4 digit code down on your receipt?
