4 Times in the last 1 1/2 months, while driving on the highway, my entire front end/steering wheel shakes uncontrollably while driving (not braking). It's like it wants to stop accelerating at that point I have to push harder and harder on the gas through the vibration. It accelerates slowly, no where near as much as it shold for the pressure being applied to the gas. Then its fine again after a couple of minutes. This is random. It is not the tires or wheels, not out of balance, not out of alignment. I had shocks/struts replaced few months ago. Any ideas?

Clogged injector(s), clogged fuel filter, sporadic fuel pump, or timing is being thrown off by either a bad crank sensor or failing ECM. The loss of even one cylinder will cause vibration and a 20% loss in power. I bet there's a OBD code being thrown for "misfire".

The check engine light is on, but the only Code is showing for EGR. I was told EGR wasn't that big of a deal & didn't think it would be the cause of this. Was told it was emissions only & no need to rush to repair. No other codes are showing. No engine lights show or chime when this happens. It is very random. Like I said it has happened 4 times in last 1 1/2 months. It last for a couple minutes then the vehicle drives normal.
