Can any 2005 Bonneville key work for any car or does it have to be a certain one

Keys are cut by a certain code for the ignition and chipped for the anti- theft system, so you must have the proper key for the car or it will trigger the anti-theft system and lockout the ignition and or fuel system and start honking the horn and lashing the lights. Some GM vehicles will call Onstar if it detects tampering and they alert police.

Keys are specific to try to thwart thieves. Thieves deserve to be shot dead on the spot.
