Pontiac vibe cooling fan not working
It could be any of those things. Can you get 12v to the fan itself to test it? Most all electric fans these days use a temp sensor to turn on and off.
Unplug the coolant temperature sensor and start the engine. The check engine light will com on. Ignore it. Thr fan(s) should come on at high speed immediately. If so, that pretty much rules out everything except the coolant temperature sensor. If not, check for 12 volts DC at the fan plug. If you have power there, fan motor is bad. If not, check the relay(s). HTH. -Jim
