I would be ready to replace the vehicle. Not so much for the flashing thermostat light, but for the Pontiac torrent aspect. Coupled with the Pontiac Aztec, these were there 2 most problematic vehicles that ultimately led to their demise. The repair is going to be either a temperature sensor, or your tranny/rear end is bad.
