Pontiac G6 2006 engine hood paint very faded

Asked by Guru1PLVZ Sep 21, 2019 at 12:35 PM about the 2006 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was wondering why the engine hood paint is
so faded and worn while the rest of the car
paint is looking like new?  Is the engine
running hot or the insulation under not good?

1 Answer

Heat will degrade paint. Before you repaint it you should replace the insulation.
