radio doesn't work ?

hello i got a new radio for my eldo. but i removed the old one and done some
digging to get some info ( + ground contact wire and such) idid all that it is
wired good. but if i start the car it goes on for half a second than turns itself off.
anny suggestions or is the radio just broken >?

The original radio was grounded by the metal mounting bracket behind the dash. If the new radio has a ground wire you need to bolt that to something metal behind the dash that is not painted. Hope that helps! Jim

The radio does not work. I turn the car on and off several times then walk away for about 10 minutes and turn the car back on and then the radio works. Why does it do this?
