All fluids need to be changed when a car is in a flood. This includes engine oil, transmission fluid, differential lube, brake fluid and gasoline. Numerous electric issues can come about also. Insurance companies usually will declare a total loss for these cars.

Normally a total out based on insurance company's metrics.
