Do I access it by removing the wood grained trim piece? Is there a certain way to remove
the trim so I don't break it? Or should I just have the dealership do it?

Most likely the trim just pulls straight off. But the bulb probably isn't replaceable. The switch assembly will have to be replaced. HTH. - Jim
