1955 Tbird convertible top operation without damage to top canvas?

Any tricks to lowering a 1955 T bird top without doing damage(ripping ) the
canvas?

Can't say anything specific to your Bird but I always carefully fold the canvas so it does not get pinched or wadded up.

Thanks, this is very helpful. I will be very careful to keep any part of the canvas out of the pinch points.
