You can't disable the security system. With a security system problem the "security" light will come on, not the check engine light. First thing to do is scan the computer and post the trouble code(s) here. Then we can help further. Most auto parts stores will scan the computer for free. You can also try spraying a little starting fluid down the throttle body when it quits to see if it'll run a few seconds on the starting fluid. If so, it's a fuel problem. If not, it's an ignition problem. Sometimes an ignition coil or ignition control module will work perfectly when it's cold but when it gets hot it breaks down and quits. The engine will usually restart in a few hours once the engine cools down. HTH. -Jim
