I have a 2003 Alero GTS was in excellent condition and only had 22000 miles on the car! The insurance company totaled the car due to water damage and they are offering me a low replacement cost.

These insurance companies must think we are stupid. I would like to know how to fight this as now I have to go out and get another vehicle which these type of cars are hard to find! The insurance company knows that this car was in excellent condition!! Please advise....

If push comes to shove you can file with the insurance commission a complaint against the company, but remember if you sign anything you loose any recourse for settlement. Might check with an attorney that deals with this type of stuff, they might give you a free consult, and them you can decide where to go from there.

Thanks for your advice! I will not settle for the low ball price. I will let them know that I am not excepting trade in value !
