I have a 1996 ford escort that won't start. I went into the store, tried to start it and nothing? It turns over but won't start. Where do I begin to figure out what's wrong?

If it turns over but won't start, you can be missing spark and or fuel pressure. When you turn the key, can you hear the fuel pump prime? If not, then the pump might have died. Have it towed to a shop for diagnosis.
