my brake and battery light stay on

what keep causing my brake and battery light to stay on during the time the car is on
driving

Check your brake fluid level first, if it is good then check the level sensor, if it checks good then have a charging system test performed. DO NOT remove a battery cable with the engine running, you could fry the electronics in the car.

wmarkwilson you need to get the avatar's right. T S T is not me. I have personally witnessed the severe damage removing a battery cable with the engine running can cause, it cost the guy over 2 grand to get running again.

Ahhh, you're right. My bad. I thought the comment was coming from the same person calling themself "Mark Helpful" which, that that time, appeared to be the only comment. My apologies and I think you're right.... don't pull it while running.

I'm going to delete both posts.

2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sports Brake and battery light on at the same time Auto zone ran a diagnostic on the battery good And on the alternator its good Top off brake fluid/ top off transmission fluid Maybe wiring with in the handbrake counseled and I can't get to it
