what could be wrong with a 97 thunderbird that has been sitting up for 4-5 month

acts like it is sticking before it starts, has to warm up before it will go

I'd suggest filling up with premium and adding a fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank. You may notice as you start driving it every day or at least more frequently it will go away on it's own. Especially if it wasn't doing this before it was parked. HTH. -Jim
