Ok. So I just recently bought a 1997 Ford Thunderbird and for some reason every time I take a turn to hard it dies. The engine light isn't on.

Might be the power steering pump or the pulleys that run off the serpentine belt.

Does it matter if you turn left or right

The shudder is either a fuel delivery issue, incorrect transmission fluid, or bad coil packs. I own a 97 mercury cougar xr7 and I have a shudder. My shudder was originally a fuel delivery problem . I took my car in a 200 mile trip. I came back with a god awful shudder and severe loss of power. That was all caused by my coil packs
