Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car started off jerking into 1st gear now that has
stopped however now the detector lite in dash continues to
blink. Someone please help me figure this out?

Sure, the blinking O/D light is telling you there is a fault with the transmission and there is a stored code. A mechanic or trans shop has the equipment to read the code. But just to prepare you for the news, 9 out of 10 times your probably looking at a transmission repair bill, and most probably a rebuild at that. Good Luck!
