What to do about a brake problem?

I push the brake pedal and it sounds like air is leaking and my van is difficult to stop.  It sounds like the
engine is lungeing.

You either have air in your brake lines that need to be bled or the brake power booster or one of the vacuum lines has a leak. Fix ASAP before you can't brake at all.
