evaporative emisson system, manufacturer controlled auxiliary emission controls, manufacturer controlledauxiliary emission contols

Asked by Nov 16, 2013 at 08:45 PM about the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

how much to fix these problems

1 Answer

For the EVAP system to set a trouble code it may be as simple as a loose or faulty gas cap. Or it could be a faulty vent valve which can run into big bucks if the gas tank has to be removed to replace it. It may be a bad purge valve or faulty vacuum hose. Again, not too much to fix. HTH. -Jim
