Broken plastic fitting

Asked by Sep 18, 2016 at 11:12 AM about the 2001 Nissan Altima GLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While removing the upper and lower intake manifold
(2001 Nissan Altima) I broke a small plastic fitting
connected to the rear of the water pump housing.
What is it, can I replace it and where do I get one?!?

I'd check repair guides for specific info; http://www.autozone.com/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f80381e3a - if those don't help try a Chiltons or Haynes guide.

Are you talking about the plastic wire Connector? Unless you ripped wires out, or smashed it all to bits I wouldn't worry to much about it if it connects well. You can also tape it with black electric tape.

Thanks guys! I have a Haynes book and it even has a picture with an arrow pointing at the part, but no explanation what it is. The part has a small hose attached to it that circulates water through a square tube beneath the upper intake.
