no dash lights 2002 Nissan frontier after changing radio???
changed radio and lost the dash lights? I have 12 volts on both sides of dimmer control
wires. all others things work. checked all fuses and had a connector plug to convert the
wire from Nissan to radio manufactures. The two pink and black and the blue and red
wires in the wire diagram show coming out of radio but does not show where they go?
The same color come off the dimmer control? should one get a hot wire and the other
get a ground???
Usually radios are grounded by the outer casing of the radio itself. I am thinking this is a ground issue though. Check to make sure any metal brackets and/or straps are connected properly behind the dash. Also check the wiring diagram that came with the new radio. HTH. -Jim
no help ground every thing with new ground wires and nothing as dash lights goes. The seat beat signal is now flashing all the time.
Hmmmmm, so the car doesn't realize that the seat belt is buckled. Sounds like another ground issue. When you buckle the belt the warning lamp circuit (I believe) is broken. In otherwords ground is removed from the lamp and chime circuit. So the light goes out. Now that you've run other ground wires it sounds like the seat belt light circuit is always grounded. HTH. -Jim
I had the same problem. hooked everything back to original and put factory radio back in, still no lights, when my headlight switch is off the radio lights up but when I turn the headlights on the radio light goes out?????
