It keeps shutting off while I'm driving it

Asked by Jul 08, 2017 at 02:36 PM about the 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can get it restarted when I put it in neutral, turn it
off and start it again and then put it back in drive. It
did it three times last time I drove it for a short
distance. A month ago, it refused to start at all and I
had to have it towed to a shop and they said that
the camshaft sensor had gone out. I'm in a position
now that I can't afford to do that again and need to
figure it out myself.
